Back in April my cousin's daughter did a book report on Fancy Nancy, she did such a good job. That after we read her report Kelsie and I went to the library to check out the books. We fell in love with them and decided that would be the theme for her birthday this year. It was so much fun to put it all together. Here is the birthday sign I made.

We invited six girls but only four were able to come. I made tutus for each girl to have and wear at the party. We asked them to dress up fancy and we were going to have a Luncheon. This is a picture of the table where they ate. I loved putting it together. I waited for my kids to be in bed the night before the party, to decorate for it. I stayed up till three in the morning doing it. I bought about ten plastic tablecloths at the dollar store and use them to cover the chairs and table (but I only used about six). I love the chairs so much I was sad to take them apart after the party, they reminded me of wedding reception chairs.

For the goody bags I found this purse pattern of the Internet and made it out of card stock putting a fun feather boa on the edge, and a cute picture of Fancy Nancy as a tag to hold it together. In the goody bag I found... fancy pencils, butterfly clips, mini lip gloss, ring pops and candy necklaces.

While we waited for all the girls to come we did a coloring sheet of Fancy Nancy. Then decorate foam crowns and sunglasses with foam stickers. All the girls did a cute job and looked so fancy.

Then onto our fun game... I had blown up Fancy Nancy (the same one that the girls were coloring) into life size, well the size of Kelsie. I was going to paper piece her together but I ran out of time and so I ended up just coloring her. We played pin the butterfly into Nancy's hair, we even had a fancy pink blindfold.

This is a picture of all the girls in their Fancy outfits. For their Thank You cards I took a picture of each girl in their fancy clothes wearing a pink boa and a pair of my high heels, that I had taken pink glitter and glued it all over it so they sparkle. They looked so cute.

After the game and pictures we had our luncheon. This is the yummy spread that they had to choose from. The olives and the mini chocolate chip cookies were a big hit with the girls. I made everything mini for the girls muffins, cookies, carrots, grapes, cucumbers, kiwi, raspberries, lemons, creme puffs, and sandwiches. We had cupcakes for the cake and of course we had...

Parfaits with sprinkles to finish off the meal, just as Fancy Nancy likes them. The kids didn't eat much of them because they were so full from lunch.

Then we open the gifts. Don't the kids look so cute.
Such fun times.

At the end they had to give one big group hug. I love the way the party turn out. We had so much fun. If you haven't heard about Fancy Nancy go check them out at the library they are really cute. Kelsie likes to speak the french words that Nancy says.
