Today we went to a park. Jaron was excited to get over to the park to play. He jumped out of the van and ran around to the front of the van into the road. At the same time a blue car was coming... Luckily both of them stop. With only two inches to spare. Kyle and I both sat in the car in amazement and horror that he didn't get hit. Everyone was still for a long time (okay maybe a just a mintue) shocked by what just happen. I got out of the car and brought Jaron to the car to sit down and breath. He was scared to tears and I think that he learn a very valuable lesson that I have been trying teach him for the longest. To Stop. Look. and Listen before crossing the road. I am so Thankful that he was not hurt, because if he had been two seconds sooner getting out of the car or did not stop he could of been hurt really bad. Someone is looking out for him.
Kallie on the other hand... was riding her bike this morning and took a jump off the sidewalk which she had done so many times before. This time though the tires slipped in the gravel and she biffed it on the pavement. She scraped up her arms, elbows, chest, legs, and knees. She just laid there in tears. Jaron came running to and told me that there was accident and that I had to come quick. So I ran quickly over to the church (in my pj's no less) to find Kallie on the ground. I picked her up and carried her home. We cleaned her up, but she sure got beat up.
My heart goes out to my kids when they get hurt or scare, and I wished that they didn't have to go through it. But it is part of life.
