On December 22nd, once John and Cody had gotten in town, we headed out to the farm to find the perfect Guptill Christmas tree. We got our jackets and plastic bags on.
Kallie and Jaron found the tree dolly and decided to give each other rides down to where we were trying to find the tree. You can see the rest of the family in the upper right corner.
Karlee wanted to give it a try at driving the dolly with Randall's help. I love the plastic bag look here, I think we should start this trend nationwide.
The area where we cutting down the trees at the farm were where all the trees were so tall, but needed to come down. So you would see a lot butts leftover with limbs. Here John is being a tree. And you can see Cody in background with Lulu.
Karlee and Ma2 as trees
I love the smile on Karlee's face.
Dad has a stick the is the measurement of how tall the tree can be and fit in the house. Here he is measuring the tree, to see where we will cut it off. This is after we have looked all over the back lot to find the perfect tree.
Once the tree has been measured and picked we then join hands around the tree and sing Dads rendition of Oh Guptill's Christmas tree. I love this picture of Cody, Lulu, and Alycia in the circle and Lulu just kind of hanging there.
Jaron and his turn of cutting down the tree.
We cut it at about 3.5 feet up.

Our family tree hunters
Lulu and Karlee in their plastic bag shoes, Lulu had small enough feet that she got to use ziplock baggies.
Kallie taking the tree away
Headed back up to shake the tree.
Wish this could be an action shot, because John is shaking there as we shake the tree for about 20 minutes. We did find half of a nest in the tree. We loaded the tree up and took it home.
When we got it home Kallie and John worked at getting the tree in the stand. They did a great job.
