Christmas Tree Hunt

After seeing Santa we put on warm clothes and headed out to the tree farm, that we go to every year. The date was December 23, so we were the only ones on the lot. It was funny because when we pulled up their was a big sign that said "YES, WERE OPEN". We put on our plastic bag boots, grab our cart and head down the trail. With the stick that told us how tall we could get the tree to fit into the house. Everyone kept their eyes peeled for the perfect tree. Jaron had found one that he really like, and wanted us to use. But it didn't get picked. Once one was found we all gather around it sang my dad's version of Oh Christmas Tree. Then everyone had a turn of cutting it down. The tree was then loaded on the cart and headed back up the trail. On to the SHAKER, my brother John must have gotten a very sore arm. He held the tree for about ten minutes as it shook all the spiders out- it was headed into my parents house that night. He did a great job. We took it home and decorated it. Here are some pictures from our Hunt.
Our little family with the chosen tree.
As you can see Jaron is ready to cut it down.
Looks like Kelsie is going with the chopping method.

We hold hands and walk around the tree while singing. "Oh Christmas Tree" -Dad's version. I took this picture while in motion. Sorry about the blurriness, but it gives you the feel of being there. right?
Kallie taking a cut to the tree with Kelsie's help.
Jaron standing by the tree that he picked out.
Maybe next year it will be ready to come home with us.
Kelsie really getting into her cut of the tree.
Karlee wanted to give it a cut too, but she had her arms in her coat to keep warm. She brought her hands up through her neck hole to cute the tree. (click on the picture to get the full effect.)
Jaron was the last of the Kenner's to give it a slice.
John and Scotty gave it the final cuts and down it came and loaded it on the cart.
