On the tenth day that they were here, we stayed in town. We went to the Kenai National Wildlife Refugee.
First off we went to the visitor center and the kids each did a worksheet to earn a prize. Kelsie and Lulu are here working on their worksheets. Kelsie was so cute when she heard that we going to go hiking she packed a backpack with water, raincoat, rain boots-she was prepared.
Karlee and Lulu checking out the snow hare, what they look like in the winter and in the summer. The snow hare change color, in the winter white and the summer brown.
After the visitor center we took a hike. The kids got another worksheet to fill out, they had to find different kinds of trees, animals, and birds along the hike down to the lake. To earn another prize.
Alycia and Lulu enjoying the hike, I think Lulu found something and is pointing it out.
We are halfway thru the hike. It was a fun hike.
After our hike we went to the best bakery in the area the "Moose is Loose" for some yummy doughnuts.
