Happy Easter

For Easter dinner we had some friends over that had us over last Easter. We had the kids at little table in the living room while, us adults and the two youngest kids were in the kitchen at the big table. Kallie and I made these cute washcloth bunnies to be our place cards. I wanted to add some color to the ears with blush, Kyle thought I was funny for doing that but I think they turned out cute. Made my color scheme pop (green, orange and brown).
Here the kids are at their table. The chair must been a little to hard for Kelsie, she had to get her pillow for cushion. The kids were so excited to have their friends over for dinner. And had so much fun being at their own table.
I made these Easter basket cupcakes for desserts but they did not turn out the way I wanted them to. My decorating tip pop out of my bag. So the frosting did not get the grass effect I wanted. Oh well. The kids enjoyed eating them while listening to Kyle read the Easter story from the scriptures. The kids also acted out the story for us and they did a really good job having only 15 minutes to prepare. I wish I would of gotten it on tape but I was really enjoying the show I didn't think of it, till after they were done.
In between dinner and dessert we did a little Easter egg hunt in the back yard. And just in the nick time because ten minutes after we came in it snowed about an inch or so. Kyle and Dan did a great job in hiding the eggs. Karlee didn't really get the idea of the hunt, she only picked up one and that was coaxed into her basket- but she did not complain. The others loved the hunt and the loot that they found inside.
It was such a nice Easter to hear from the Prophets and enjoying a great evening with friends. I hope that you had a great Easter too. I am so grateful for the savior and what he did for us so that we may return to our Heavenly Father. HAPPY EASTER!!!
