For FHE this week, we hiked up to the OIT thingy on the hill. This was one of goals we wanted to do before we left K Falls. This is before our hike ready to go.

Jaron found a hiking stick to use on the hike.
We advised him against using it, since it was taller then him.
He did not use it.

If you zoom in on this picture you might be able to see the three kids. Kallie is in the lead in the hot pink coat. Jaron is by the bush right behind Kallie in a blue coat. And Kelsie is behind him in a light pink coat. They were all a head of us during most the hike, they would get a ways up and then come right back to us. We kept telling them to stay and wait for us to catch up, but I think they just liked to be running around on the steep trail.

Even Karlee did some walking up. But not down I figure she would just roll down the hill. Kallie was prepared for the hike she brought string cheese for everyone to have on the hike. That is what Karlee has in her hand. She held on to the cheese for most of the hike, until her hands froze and she wanted to stick them into her pockets.

Here we are on the O. I love the timer on my camera, we were able to get a family shot at the top. Notice how all the kids are resting for their run down the hill.

Kyle and the kids are in the T
Then we headed down the hill, it was a steep walk down. Karlee rode on our shoulders, Kallie and Jaron ran down and Kelsie kept her head down and walked. Without her watching where she was walking she walked toward a barb-wire fence. We screamed and yelled at the top of our lungs to watch where she was going and come back to us. Either she did not hear us or was just not listening. She missed the fence and finally looked up at at us and came back to the path. Since it was FHE we turned what Kelsie did (going off the path) into a spiritual thought. About how you need to stay on the straight and narrow path and hold to the iron rod, because it is so easy to slip off with out noticing and might run into the barb-wire fence.
