Kallie turned 12 this year. I can't believe that she is a Young Women, I always thought that it was far off and would never really come...but it came and fast.
She spent the day at school on her birthday and so we were able to bring treats for her class (I think this is the last year for her :0(. We also brought her a candy bouquet to class. Kyle had the day off so he was able to take the treats in, he had a lot of fun with that :0).
Kallie got to pick her favorite meal for dinner, she chose parmesan chicken with mashed potatoes and rolls. We had brownies for our dessert at Easter dinner and had a lot left over so I thought it would be fun to stack them and put crazy candles all over it- she got a kick out of it.
When it was time for presents we felt kinda bad. Kallie had been asking for a violin for the longest time, we had been searching for one-but was not having luck. We had gone into this music store on a whim on her birthday and there happen to be one there for a decent price. We bought it and was so excited to take it home and give it to her that night. But as we were checking out the saleslady asked if she could keep it until tomorrow to have her husband tune it. We said yes but was sad that we wouldn't be able to give it to her tonight. Luckily we found the flute book that she wanted and was able to give it to her on her birthday.

The next night we were able to pick up the violin and give it to Kallie. The surprise was almost spoiled a couple times but she was surprised and so excited to get it.
Happy Birthday Kallie, you are truly a blessing in our family and we love you so much.
